We recently took a Tonic team outing to the Roxy Bar and Screen on borough high street for their wonderful pub quiz, which consisted of us all filling our bellies with pies and chips and salmon and chicken (not all in one go) and then watching clips from films and guessing what they were (safe to say neither of our teams came anywhere near winning!)
Kat took a lovely photo from the night…which ended in memorable renditions of ‘Kids in America’ and whitney Houston in a nearby Karaoke pub….glorious!

Tonic’s managing director Ranzie was a guest speaker at the Glug London ‘Notworking’ event which is held monthly by Studio Output and Made Studios at The Queen of Hoxton in Shoreditch.
Speaking alongside Ranzie included Iain Tait, Creative Director of Poke London & William Rowe, founder of Protein London
Here’s some photos from the night taken by Paul Spence : spot Tonic’s client services director Mark chuckling away in the crowd!

Tonic designer Jamie recently posted an article on the Design Assembley blog entitled:
‘Is a photo worth a thousand words?’
“We live in an age where we are able to view an almost endless amount of content (TV shows, films, images and more importantly user-generated content) whenever we choose through the internet. On demand is a phrase that is constantly being used in the media, and this week Channel 4 announced they were adding their back catalogue of over 10,000 titles to 4OD…..Read full article

Last friday afternoon, after many weeks of planning, we skipped out of the studio early to hold the first session of Tonic B-Ball! The team fought long and hard but after what seemed like hours of battling it out on the court, no one could remember the score anyway so we headed off the to pub to drink some beer in the sun.
A lovely if not rather sweaty time was had by all!!!

A collection of creative talents have come together to produce the new advert for the housing charity Shelter, entitled ‘House of Cards’, to highlight the fragility of the UK housing situation.
House of cards was created by Leo Burnett Framestore, Blink, Outsider, Saddington & Baynes, soundtracked by Radiohead and voiced by actress Samantha Morten;
All of whom donated their time and services for free.
How lovely

For the past few months we have been traveling back and forth to Oslo to work with Telenor. Here are some images of their offices in Fornebu that i took last week whilst the weather was great. The site used to be the old Oslo airport and the views over the Fjord are stunning…

We’re a sociable lot at tonic, and sometimes after a hard day of website-making, we enjoy nothing more than sitting in the local pub and mulling over the issues of the day.
Discussions of the current state of the economy, the political crisis in Zimbabwe, the plight of the Olympic torch as it makes it’s way to Beijing, who would win if we were to start a tonic fight club, no topic is considered too high-brow.
This time around I brought my camera along to try to catch some of the lively debates in action. However I only seem to have captured…

After all the recent celebrations (and cakes!) in the studio in the past couple of weeks, we’re all feeling a little caked-out. So we’ve designated the studio a cake-free zone.
I give it one day…

Cake watch update! Three days later…

Second update: By Friday it’s descended into something all too familiar

Final update - One week later, the craziness of the cake-free zone is over
